Why getting the best food for puppies is crucial

A puppy is a spoiled member of your family and a very cute playmate. As he offers you so much joy and happiness, you want to reward him all the time. The best reward you can provide your puppy is the best food for puppies, as the food he eats helps his physical and mental evolution to become a dog.

A puppy shouldn’t eat what an adult dog does, because he grows so fast, every part of his body is developing, and for this reason they need more nutrients, vitamins and minerals. If you want your puppy to become a happy healthy dog you have to provide him the food he needs.

A puppy should eat four times a day in the first period of his life, three times a day from 4 to 6 months and after six months 2 times a day should be enough.

When you choose the best food for your puppy, check on detail to make sure that the food is good for the age of your dog. It has to be all natural and made of high quality ingredients. Otherwise it won’t accomplish your puppy’s needs and it won’t help your dog to progress to the next stage of his life. You can improve the food you buy for him by feeding on side some raw meat and raw bones. I tell you to supply his meals with that because I don’t want you to feed your dog just with puppy food from the shelves because it contains many preservatives and artificial flavors that can harm your puppy, or in the worse cases ca even kill him.

You should try to give your puppy home made food at least three or four times a week. This is surely the best food for puppies you van ever offer him. Even if you don’t have too much time for cooking, cook a big portion at a time and you can refrigerate it for several weeks. I think your dog deserves this effort.

Take care: you shouldn’t feed your dog puppy food too long. It is very important to use it in the first months of his life, but if you continue feeding him like this, you might lead him to obesity or other problems that you won’t want to face, believe me. So, be well informed which is the adult age for your dog and start changing his diet around that age.

If you think that choosing the right food for your puppy is too hard for you, or the responsibility is too big, ask for your vet’s advice. He will surely know what the best for your dog is and will help you establish everything: from the schedule for puppy feeding to the ingredients or the best food for puppies you should provide your dog.             The start of your puppy feeding has consequences for his entire life. So be very conscientious when you choose it and you won’t regret later! Am I right?
